Immune Boosting Smoothie Recipe


Recipe & Ingredients
1 Slice of Pineapple chopped up with just the outer skin removed 1 handful of berries (can be fresh or frozen and can be mixed berries)
1 handful of fresh baby spinach (or other leafy green)
1 tablespoon of Chia seeds
1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
A sprinkle of black pepper to aid absorption of turmeric
Add all the ingredients and blend in a bender for 10-15 seconds.
NUTRITIONAL NOTE: Chia Seeds – high in Omega 3 fatty acids, protein, fibre and antioxidants and therefore good for the heart, body, and mind. Sugar free and gluten free. Berries are rich in anti-oxidants which help protect our tissues against oxidative damage and help keep our immune systems boosted, protecting us against disease. Spinach is a true super-food with it’s powerhouse of nutrients including protein, calcium and B Vitamins. It also has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties.
